The Odessa Sea Port

The Odessa Sea Port is called the Sea Gates of the country. It’s one of the six Ukrainian ports at the Black Sea. There is St.Nickolas Cathedral at the territory of the port. St.Nickolas is the patron saint of all sailors. In April 2001 «Kempinski» hotel was dedicated on the territory of the port. There is an exquisite bronze sculpture in front of the main entrance to the sea terminal. The sculpture is called Golden Child monument.

Port includes the Oil Harbor, container handling facility, the passenger area and 7 facilities for handling dry — cargoes.

With its modern design and technical equipment the Passenger Terminal of Odessa Port comes in the same range with the best passenger terminals of other European resort cities. Its admission ability is 4 mln passengers per year. The 7 berths of the terminal accepts ships up to 240 m in length and a draught up to 11,5 m. The Common expansion of the berthing line is 1285,0 m. On the Passenger Terminal territory is located a Yacht Complex of the best world standards, where up to 80 yachts can be simultaneously accepted. The length of accepted yachts is not limited. The Depth at berths comes to 10–13 m. Yacht navigation is carried out from April 1 till November 1.
